Director of Delivery Management
Sidebar is a leading personalization technology provider focused on enabling content discovery for millions of consumers while increasing sales and loyalty for our enterprise clients. We are a fast growing, well funded startup based in Santa Monica, CA with a seasoned board and management team. We are rapidly expanding across business segments and regions and are looking to add a Director of Delivery Management to our team.
Position Description:
The Director of Delivery Management is responsible for the successful completion of client deployments by planning, executing, and controlling all phases of the project. Works closely with Sidebar and Client project stakeholders and executives in order to successfully oversee the implementation of deployments for customers globally. Role spans pre-sale, sale (SOW) and post-sale stages including product feedback and enhancements. Partner with Account Management to enhance client’s business in a consultative manner.
Duties will include:
- Creating and maintaining the customer portal(s), delivery roadmap and all associated documentation.
- Optimizing the utilization of resources to provide effective planning, developing and managing deployment standards and procedures.
- Continually monitoring the performance of deployment and adjust action plans to achieve milestones.
- Working closely with Sidebar’s functional teams (Business Development, Account Management, Product Development, Technology, Business Intelligence, etc.) and customers globally to develop customer-satisfying service solutions to support Sidebar’s leadership position in the industry.
- Refinement of our best-practices documentation and methodology.
- Coordination of Client and Sidebar teams across all delivery activities and acts as the executive escalation point for all issues specific to projects
- Facilitation the sales process as a sales engineer during use case identification and technical evaluation.
- Gathering customer requirements and assist with the creation of product/service proposals.
- Organizing and lead kick-off meetings with Clients and internal leadership.
- Owning the project initiation step after the successful signing of MOU
- Managing the needs, expectations, project issues, and product requirements of the client.
- Acting as client advocate to Product Development and Technology team
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and with high quality
processes. - Conducting “sunset” reviews and prepares case studies.
- Attending client service review meetings; areas covered will include performance reports, service improvements, quality and processes
- Making recommendations for process and technology enhancements to more efficiently meet the needs of the business.

Prerequisites:
- BS/BA degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience, minimum 8 years
- Project Management Certifications (e.g. PMP, CMP)
- Wireless/mobile experience
- SaaS background an advantage
Additional Considerations:
- Moderate travel required, domestic and international
- Non-standard work hours given the global nature of our clients.
- The ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-energy market is a must
- Experience within a start-up environment is desired
